The Thirst Project live-stream was not very successful. We raised only $5 of the $500 goal. The stream spanned over 6 hours, and I was hoping to bring in at least half of the goal. It’s a little sad to know that I only raised $5 to the cause. I have to think positive though and keep my head held high. I tried my best.
For those that don’t know what The Thirst Project is:
The Thirst Project is a nonprofit organization that exists to raise awareness of and bring solutions to the global water crisis. They are the world’s leading youth water activism organization, traveling across the United States speaking at high school and college campuses about the global water crisis and challenging students to fund-raise to build wells. 100% of all public donations go directly to funding freshwater wells on the ground.
They are really unique in that they have a private group of donors who fund 100% of the organization’s “overhead” so they can make this guarantee to the public.
In just 6 years, The Thirst Project has activated more than 300,000 students on 320 campuses across the United States who have raised $8 million, which has been used to give more than 260,000 people in 12 countries safe, clean water.
That being said, you can still donate to the campaign even though my stream has ended, all you have to do is click on the icon at the top of this entry, and it will take you to the campaign I started. That is where you can donate. I will monitor to see if the number rises any further. If so thank you!
This was still an awesome experience. Although I started with some technical issues, I learned from them. Next stream should be in good shape. It was cool Having people come in and talk with me while I do what I do best. The most popular games of the stream were Minecraft: Story Mode, and The Long Dark. Both are very nice games, and I plan to continue a series on my YouTube as well as some other live streams.
I want to thank all of the people that advertised the live stream, and put forth an effort to make this stream successful. Your efforts are not futile. I look forward to doing this again, but next time lets strive for $10. Double or nothing I always say.
Thank you! Have a great day!
P.S.A: Don’t trespass while playing Pokemon GO. It’s not worth catching jail time for catching em’ all.
